Yianni Agisilaou is an Australian comedian who has an established and growing fanbase in London.  He has performed at Comedy Festivals worldwide including Edinburgh, Melbourne, Amsterdam, Johannesburg, Leicester and Brighton.

His shows have been critically acclaimed with a raft of 4 star reviews.  Last year Chortle said “it takes real skill to pull of a show of such simple ideas” and “sharp social commentary to compare favourably with Woody Allen”

He has made numerous television appearances including ITV’s “Take the Mike”, Paramount Comedy’s “The World Stands Up” and ABC’s “Raw Comedy”

After several years spent honing his craft with low-key Melbourne and Edinburgh runs, 2010 is going to be the year that Yianni steps up into the Edinburgh spotlight.

Review - The Universe: A User’s Guide from THREE WEEKS

This very funny examination of what the Universe is takes us right from the Big Bang to the modern-day experiments in the Large Hadron Collider, and does so in hilarious fashion.  Yianni shares with us his fascination with the cosmos, and manages to help us, not only to understand it, but to take delight in it too.  His routine on how fast travel whilst sitting still, based on the speed of the Earth's rotation, was a particular highlight; the only problem was the fact that Yianni was consistently checking his laptop to remember what came next.  Despite this, Yianni's show is interesting, funny and favourably comparable to the recent TV Series 'Wonders of the Solar System'
